‘Anvil Point is a very special lighthouse for me; my grandmother lived nearby in a coastguard cottage. When I was a boy I used to spend the summers with her and we would walk through Durlston Park and past Anvil Point Lighthouse. I can still remember how the silhouette of the lighthouse always took me by surprise, either against a sparkling blue sea or a grey winter sky. This memory has a huge influence on the way I see Anvil Point today.’
