Chengdu, the capital of China’s Sichuan province and the central hub of southwest China is a metropolis of seventeen million people. In August 2021 two new museums opened covering an area of 70,000 sq meters. Superfusion is the theme of the first biennale and consists of eight sections including ecology and aesthetics, tradition and the avant-garde as well as nation and the civilization and will be an important review of global contemporary art.
