In 2010-11 Jeremy Gardiner was artist in residence on the Pervasive Media Programme at Nottingham University. The aim of the project was to develop new modes of representation of the Lake District through the 3D printing and augmented reality. The focus of our research came through discussions within the Geography department. We focused on an area in the Lake District approximately 25 miles across, consisting of 16 major water bodies among the Cumbrian mountains, including Derwent water, Coniston and Windermere under 4 major mountains, of which Scafell Pike, at 3,210 feet is England’s highest peak.
